Baby Shower Card and Box Envelope

This is an easel card and box envelope that Kim created for her neice who is having a little boy in late December.

The card measures 6"x6". The colors are cream and pale aqua, and Kim has hand-stitched around the card with matching DMC thread.

The rose buds have been tinted to match using Copic sketch markers. The cream flowers are aster daisies and cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid crafts.

The image is from Squigglefly, and Kim colored it with Copic professional sketch markers. Kim added shine to the finger nails with Glossy Accents.

The inside of the card has a blank area for Kim to add her own note, along with a special printed sentiment. Kim has hand-stitched around the printed sentiment with the same matching DMC thread as she used on the front of the card. Ivory pearls and a cream colored aster daisy and aqua rose bud have been added to the sentiment as well.

This is the card placed in the easel position. The sentiment was perfect to go with the Squigglefly image.

The box envelope is accented with an aqua bow and silver pacifier charm, along with cream and aqua flowers to coordinate with the easel card inside. The back has a Velcro closure for easy access.

Best wishes, Courtney. You're going to make a wonderful mother. Love you, Aunt Kim.

Happy Birthday, Jordan!

Well our baby is all grown up! Jordan turned 13 this week. This is the card that Kim made for Jordan. Jordan loves bright colors, especially yellow, green and orange.

Kim layered these bright yellow Prima flowers to coordinate with the fun citrus colored cardstock.

This beautiful image is by Elizabeth Bell. Kim colored the image with professional Copic sketch markers.

This silver charm that reads "Follow Your Dreams" along with complementary ribbons add the perfect touch for a new young woman.

The image and sentiment were cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities, and a few yellow rose buds complete the card.

Jordan, we wish you much happiness, and we hope you have the best birthday ever.

Happy Frog Card and Box

This is another adorable easel card and matching gift box that Jeannene created using her new Cricut Imagine.

The card has a happy little frog, making this card perfect for that nature loving little boy. There is a silver frog charm attached to the plaid bow, and there is plenty of room for you to add a special message.

The matching gift box measures 6-1'2" x 6-1'2" and is 2" deep. The sides of the box have been finished with a scalloped edge.

Butterfly Kisses

This is another easel card and matching gift box that Jeannene created using the new Cricut Imagine.

This precious card would be perfect for a baby gift, but it would also be just right for a small child's birthday gift. The card has a cute giraffe about to be kissed by a butterfly. The sentiment says "Butterfly Kisses," and is surrounded by three beautiful butterflies. There is additional room for you to add your own message inside the card.

The gift box which matches the card, complete with kissing butterfly and giraffe, measures 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" and is 2" deep.

A bright turquoise and green striped bow with a silver butterfly charm add the perfect finishing touch to this gift box.

Gift Box

Need a great way to make a simple gift extra special? How about presenting your present in a hand-decorated gift box. This box measures 9"x9" and is 1-1/2" deep. A great size for scarves, gloves or jewelery.

We made this box with Christmas in mind, but it would be special for anyone with a love of birds. This bird is flocked in a brownish red.

This bow sure beats those self-adhesive bows from the drug store.

The sentiment is cut using the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge.

Vintage Birthday Card for a Young Friend

This is an easel gift card and box envelope that Kim created for her friend, Stacey. Stacey loves vintage and French toile patterns, so when Kim found this Mirabelle cardstock by the Paper Studio, she knew it would be perfect for Stacey's birthday card.

Kim finished the box envelope with a handmade flower and pearl accents. A Velcro dot seals the box.

The card is 6"x6" and made from coordinating Mirabella cardstock, and it was given an antique look with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in antique linen and walnut stain.

When placed in the easel position, the framed dancing couple really stand out, and deep red rose buds continue to climb unimpeded. In following with the vintage French theme, the card declares, "Let them eat cake!" When opened, the sentiment clarifies, "Birthday Cake, that is!"

Kim found the vintage image at Digital Tuesday and tinted the dancing couple with Copic sketch markers. The chipboard frame is from Tim Holtz Glimmer Chips. It was colored with Copic sketch markers and hand painted with LuminArte' Bronze Medallion to give it a gilded appearance.

The roses were painted with a coat of LuminArte' Bronze Medallion and a rosewood pearl adds a touch of shine.

This view of the card shows the depth and dimension of the card.

Happy birthday, Stacey! Hope your day is fit for a queen -- while still keeping your head about you. (LOL) Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.
